And that post adds what to this thread precisely? Should we all go and post "yes, the post above is correct" to all threads? Now what exactly would be the use of that, I wonder? Except of course the use to the individual posting 100s of posts every week to up their count.... Hmm.

Yeah I know, this post doesn't add much either, but then at least I'm not spamming for ranks.

At least Kakero's posts were related to the game at hand...

Speaking of which, it occurs to me there is ANOTHER set of quests that relate: IF you go ahead and wipe out everyone in the Council club, you'll also take out a murderer, which will gain you friends in one of the great houses...

That's really funny, cause the manual states different, and I'll quote, it's in the header of pickpocketing (not the skill, but how to do it ingame). It's a translation from Dutch,a s my manual is Dutch:
"..... Because pickpocketing has to do with Security, you can't always see what's in someone's inventory..."

Well, if that isn't proof, I don't know...

here is how it works:

YOUR sneak skill used against the NPC's security skill.

The thing you have to know about taunt is once you succeed, you still have to let them throw the first punch.

Even though you still pissed em off, it still is considered to be the aggressor if you attack first. Thus, i can see your problem as to why you attack him, the whole council club goes bonzos

you have to wait until they tell you to die and the only option to click is "goodbye" otherwise you havent taunted them enough. the best way to know is if you click to talk to them and it says "this character is in combat." even if they havent moved, strike them down, it wont count as your fault.

really kakero? you can kill without being seen and have it not be a crime? because i have sneak 100 skill and have killed people up close without being seen and still had the crime reported.

maybe its the distance though...
