I've gotten the Sword of 4 Winds from the chest in the unmapped caves in gigas (after you get to the turn to the lift, go left and left and left and left until you get to a chest).

I've done all of Mt. Gigas. I guess I missed out this time. I did steal the fake Security pass off Kunar and his key at Lvl:7. This made things very interesting!

Ok, I found the Sword of 4 Winds again!
It is in the chest in the room that you need to put an item on the pressure plate.
(not sure how to word that better)
You can get this sword around lvl 6-7 if you go from the Monestary to the Umpani camp and either kill Kunar (after you have bought all you need) or try to pick his pockets for the security pass. Just save before you take the elevator and you can get to the chest fairly quickly. This is obviously an awesome sword at this point in the game.

The best way to get money at this point is to go to the Hogar cave. Enter combat and run aroung the big hill. The Hogar will retreat and you can enter the cave. If you don't have a Bard you can sell the Pipes for about 16k which will help to buy your spellbooks.

Retro's: the Hoarder Slime (NW dungeon) can have ANY object in the game, tho some at vanishingly small %.
