In EverQuest, why even practice Sense Heading at all?

The /loc command told you what direction you were heading to begin with.

Also a compass could be bought.

Besides I always thought the Sense Heading skill was stupid to begin with. I don't need a lot of "practice" to figure out what direction I'm heading.

I started my second party with 2 bishops, but I found the only real use of the other bishop for me was for to have 2 portal spells. I changed to 1 bishop and her skills increased more quickly in the fire, earth, etc magic skills and I placed 3 points in wizardy and divinity, and 2/1 in alchemy and psionics. At level 14 her lowest magic skill is level 79(including power cast). Just try casting all the non-combat long-term spells(enchaned blade, armorplate, etc) before resting and your skills will increase quickly without "useless" training.

P.S. I replaced my bishop with a ninja (thowing) for the critical strikes, I have found them very important at later levels.

my party SAM-MON-RAN-NIN-BAR-BIS

Aye Mavolic.

Clouds "always" headed to the west and if you dropped a sword on the ground the handle always pointed to the north.

As for /loc that gave co-ordinates not direction of north - south - east - west like sense heading did.

Also as for the compass. I had enough crap in my inventry let alone adding things liek a compass to it

Actually Mage_77 the /loc command did give you the north/west/east/south...

Only catch was that you need to understand the location cordinates and what direction you were going when the numbers where changing...

Played the game for 2 years, and never had a problem getting around without sense heading ...

Still, silly nonsense if you ask me...
