They did not go to Cuba in boats they went Guantanamobay. And does it really matter how they got there? They were all treated by Cuban doctors without question; that's the point.
Here in Canda, everyone gets the same level of treatment, so I'm not sure what you mean by the various income classes?

No, our system isn't perfect, but I wouldn't trade it.

And how do you know whether he helps people or not?
Many many people give and do a lot to help others, but they don't go around bragging about it.

Personally, I did not find him rude at all in this movie. He was going around asking questions. If that's rude then I guess all are.

The thing is, the US is a very rich country and can easily have health care like here in Canada.
Well thats pretty cool how he gave some money to that man, and I prolly don't know enough about him to hate him. I just don't like his movies, and I doubt I'll see Sicko. I just like to go to the theatre to be entertained, but from what I saw a lot of people liked this movie.

It's really more of a documentary anyway. I would not normally have seen it in the theatre, but my wife got free tickets.

My comment on the difference between income classes was a criticism of the US system.

Nope, definitely would not trade it.</font>

I saw it and thought Moore had some great points. It really seems like the US healthcare system suffers because big business it taking money off the top. Both pharm and insurance companies are making quite a nice profit off of the US population.

With some form of socialized medicine those profits would be going back into the system. Not buying some sleezy CEO a third summer home.

Erm, what else would you want him to do? If this is "something which most people already know", why do so many people state how much of an eye-opener it is? Why hasn't there been anyone trying to improve things in the last few years, if everyone knows it's going on? From that perspective, "Sicko" might prove to be the cold shower that might wake up at least someone willing to change things (although it's certainly not going to be Hillary Clinton, for that matter ).
And with all that in mind, I think this is the best way Moore can actually help those people - by exposing those trying to sabotage the entire system from within (i.e. the profit-obsessed insurance companies and the politicians in their back pockets).

</font>[/QUOTE]Well acting on an "eye-opener" is harder than one may think. Especially when there's billions of dollars involved. Just look at the controversy surrounding the american administration atm. So much red tape, so much denial. Everyone may know the truth but no-one is admitting to anything.
