Hmm - interesting, let me take a look at it when I get home (not sure how one would color a sea lion - the 2e picture I saw was fully yellow, though).

An idea from most marine life, whether fantastical or not; is that they tend to be tan/light colored on thier underside and green/dark on the top. Its a form of natural camoflage

PS, altho I can;t say I've seen much fantasy marine life in the wild or up close

Yeah I do try to follow 1e (and 2e if the former is not specific) guidelines in general, though - just trying to get it right

I have tried diagonals now. As I feared, it is quite complicated.

Some of the problems that have occured can most probably be solved by overlapping walls, but this would mean that at least two walls always have to be combined.

Wow - it DOES look complicated!

What do you mean by overlapping walls? A wall and an overlay?

I meant that the graphic of one wall overlaps the other in the 3D window (could be done with an overlay for sure). E.G., the closest wall in front of you normally has a width of 148 as far as I know, so that it is in direct contact with the neighbouring wall. Overlapping means that the wall has a higher width, so that it overlaps the wall next to it. Example:

Ah, I see - I gotta try using your coordinates for a wall some time - it definitely seems to have advantages.

It really lets the world look more alive. Before I found out that it was possible to increase the width of the walls, I helped myself with niches where I could put bookshelfs and cupboards into - but it always looked 2-dimensional...

Yeah, for the few overlays I have done (using the default coordinates), I have had to squeeze the signs or whatever into the space given, making it look a little like I tried too hard

Nice stuff.

I didn't make a single wall until Kevin came out with the tall wall format. In my opinion, the default format (which of course is the same as FRUA) is a bit unweildly and space-wasting. It was kind of hard to wrap my head around as a beginner.
Now, with the 'hyper' wall format, we are much closer to being "Unlimited". Though, I guess to be truly maximized, each wall slot would be 176x211 so that you could use the whole viewport...
