I have arrived.

Well hi anyways. I guess I'm probably pretty new at BG 2 also. I got it about a year ago. I played it a bit at first, then I stoped for like eight months. I just recently got back into. The reason for that is I have this fantasy craze now. I got the handbook for D&D 3rd edition. Although I haven't found a DM or anyone to play with yet.

Anyways, I'm only on chapter 3 for my farthest game, but I started a new one and it's only on 2.

I only have one question right now, I was in the slaver meet thing that is a boat, and something was cast on Minsc & Jaheira and I can't select them. They aren't in the group anymore and they don't move. I read it could be petrification or something but I need help to get them back.

confusion, petrification, command word:die, could be any of those. Just wait for a while (confusion seems to have a pretty long duration) and they should come back.

no they are really stuck, the have no actions. They are frozen there, its not confusion and they aren't dead.... and they aren't just grayed out in the party. They are out and they aren't in the group anymore.

Well If they are not in the group I would say that some how they were turned to stone. I have never heard of this to happen. So try a stone to flesh scroll and see if this will bring them back.

If not you could always re-load a pervious game and try it again.

And do you have all the latest patches and fix packs. This could be a bug of some sort.

Try out these things and see if they will work.

Probable turn of events:

You walked onto the prismatic spray trap just past the two cells with the little kiddies in em. Prismatic spray has the annoying ability to petrify (turn to stone) anything it hits(only one of the colors actually petrifies though). If you want em back, either go to a temple and buy scrolls of stone to flesh (there is one in the Slums above the Copper Coronet (check your map)). Or, you may be able to memorise a spell of stone to flesh, cast that on them.

***NOTE***
If you had a romance with Jahiera, it will be aborted and i don't think you can restart it. Just re-load your Auto-save.

I think the morale of this story is always have your thief checking for traps in the games dungeons this will mean things like this won't happen.

in the future if you dont know what has happened to your party how about just pressing 'R' to check what they have been affected by :\

His party members were dropped out of the party. Pressing R would not have helped.

ADD] Enabling "State Changes" in the Feedback option menu would have helped though.
