Okay.
So I was using ZSNES (It's an emulator. And for the record, I only play games on it that I own... I haven't broken any laws, nor do I advocate it.) the other day and my laptop overheated and shut down. I started up again and heard the fan running more than it should. I opened the task manager and realized that ZSNES was eating up whatever system resources that AIM wasn't taking (so that 100 percent of my system resources were being used). This has never happened before and I'm not sure why it happened now. I tried downloading the latest version... No good. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a setting I can change? Anything?

lol, I have had my fair share of problems with Znes, but I think whats heppening here is that with Znes instead of it using a certain ammount of recourses while you use it, it uses what it can to get maximum stability, or something like that, and with that happenening, your laptop was bound to shutdown..
But I could be wrong... Oh and whyare you playing the roms if you own the game ![]() |

Hm... Is there any way to, you know, fix it? I have no idea what made it think this was a good idea in the first place...
And for the record, the games and system are at home, in my closet somewhere. Rather than GO home (which I generally don't do), root through my closet, and lug it all up to school in my already cluttered room, I download them and play them on my laptop. So there

Sure, sure
![]() Hmm, you could try setting the proccesses Priority to a low setting. When viewing the procceses in Task manager (Ctrl + Alt + Delete as im sure you know) then right click on the Znes Process and choose "set priority" then chose one under normal. May not work, but its worth a try... |

That's an excellent idea.
Unfortunately, it didn't do anything...
