I am really stumped on Level 4 in Watcher's Keep and its driving me batty! Somebody help please! So I've gathered the three different color oils, and I've figured that the shapes on the floor on either side of the machine room give the color positions... but I can't get an option to light the torches. Somebody please don't tell me that the tinderbox I used to light the fire on Level 1 is needed here.... any suggestions about where/how I can get something that will give me the option of lighting the torches? Thanks!

Hmmmm... if I recall correctly, there is a lighter in the Githyanki Encampment. Check the chests when you first enter the area. Use the Tab button to help you highlight the chests.

Welcome to the Ironworks Forums by the way, shea obrien.

i spent 5 hours pondering about the oil, and the fire combination when i first played the game and its so briliant. the tinderbox and the three coloured oil are needed to light the lamps. the first chest (or looks like) on the right when you enter the fort contains the tinder. enjoy!

*******SPOILER*********

Thanks guys! I wonder if I didn't pick it up and then lose it during the lich fight... two of my party got "imprisoned" and I had to rest to learn freedom and then free them; I wonder if maybe they dropped it when imprisoned, I didn't pick it up, and then it got cleaned out of the crypt while I was sleeping in my pocket plane.

In any case, after searching diligently where you guys suggested and finding nothing (again, I probably lost it somehow before I needed it), I couldn't bear to go all the way back and play the whole level again so I resorted to figuring out how to set the debug switch to enable the console, and did a CLUAConsole:CreateItem("PLOT04F")... that did the trick.

I was a little jaded, because somehow I lost one of the gems on the level above and had spent four hours replaying that one from my save point in order to find them... wasn't about to do that again. I'll try not to resort to that again, although I must say I felt rather *powerful* at the console window!

Thx!

Hey Shea,

First a word of welcome to IronWorks.

As for the tinderbox: I never even noted it was needed to light the oil.
I always picked it up without thinking about it and lit the oil kind of automatically. As far as I recall you're never asked to use the tinderbox as long as you have it with you, so I never knew I was like being kinda enjoying some fools luck

Oooh...the first time I fought that little demi-lich, it imprisoned Minsc...and his stuff dropped behind that damn crypt you can open, so I couldn't pick it up!
I never knew that the floor tiles gave the pattern away. I thought Bioware were cruel enough to give you a puzzle with no answer, so I minimised and checked Gamebanshee

Demi-Liches are surprisingly disappointing against high-level Mages. One Dragon Breath/Comet and *poof*, the Demi-Lich is dead... ...
