I am trying to make a mod. I am currently working on the last touches of the plot, but now I have a problem. I don't know how to make a mod. Somebody said I need Winbiff, effmaker, Infinity engine explorer pro, near infinity, Shadowkeeper, and WeiDu. Where do I get this stuff? How do I work it?

Yeah, I'll be sure to do that, Xero.

Edit: It is called the Elminster Mod, and I am not good at electronic stuff so it will probably take me about 4. YEARS! j/k
But I have been really busy lately, so I might not get to work on it much.

Aack! It is too confusing! I can't understand the instructions. Maybe I could recruit one of my friends to help me.

If you have problems understanding the instructions, you might wanna go to the above mentioned site and ask about your problems in the forums over there. I'm sure someone will help you there with your problems.

Actually, I would say that if you don't have even a basic knowledge of IEEP and other tools, you might want to reconsider the whole idea. Creating a mod is an awful lot of work, often requiring the efforts of several script writers...
A much better idea I think would be to ask on the TeamBG forums if anyone's interested in joining forces with you... maybe there's even an existing mod team that is interested in incorporating your ideas...
I'm not trying to discourage you, but I think you'll only get disappointed if you try this all by yourself - it's a lot of work...

True enough. And Willard, you should start off carefully, try to create a few items first, maybe later on some kits and after that one quest, and if you've mastered all that, maybe then you can even start thinking about beginning with a mod. It's very easy to say from one day to another "I'm bored. Let's make a mod!", but there's still a difference between saying it and actually doing it.

Hmmmm...... teaming up with somebody does sound good......
I need to make 10 items, 1 kit, 2 new sub-races, 2 npc's, 6 new people, and 5 new monsters to make this mod complete. I have the plot all written out, so now all I have to do is get the equipment and fiddle around with the stuff, figure out how they work, then start. Huh.
