Question Mark

I knew they didn't really want peace. This was only a matter of time and there will be more to come, of course...from both sides.

Who are they? Surely one cannot judge the will of the whole of the Palestinian people by what the actions of of a few? If by 'they' you mean Hamas or the al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigade then of course 'they' generally don't want peace and probably never will.

I think your reaction is a typical overreaction. I hope the Isreali's do not make a similiar mistake and thereby play right into the hands of the extremists who seek to derail the entire peace process by actions such as this bombing.

May cooler and patient heads prevail.

Unfortunately, my reaction is simply a reflection of reality as it is. Neither the Palestinaians nor the Israelis want peace or they would have attained it by now. The only logical conclusion after decades of on-and-off conflict is that neither side wants a lasting peace.
The 'few' as you put it are a minority these days. There's 6 million Palestinians in the region, and the majority seems to have radical ideas, that much has to be pretty clear now, even to those who believe there will ever be peace between both sides.

Overreaction ? I don't think the word 'overreaction' is even relevant in the Israel-Palestine issue anymore. Every time i hear about another bombing, or an Isreali retaliation on the news, i'm like "it can't get much worse than this", but leave it to those two sides to prove me wrong time and time again.

Well, to bring a glimmer of hope, as well as those arrested by Israel the Palestinian police has arrested two more men - that wouldn't have happened under Arafat.

And Johnny, if the majority of Palestinians held radical ideas, then we'd be having several million suicide bombings rather than the one or two a month we have at the moment.

Not every radical is crazy enough to strap himself in a bombsuit and explode in public, they all share the same goal though, which is to destroy the state of Israel and kill every Jew on the planet.

Israel has blamed Syria for the attack - don't be so quick to jump to conclusions.

And when's the last time you asked a Palestinian what his views were...?

If you really must know....a little less than two weeks ago. Guess you didn't see that one coming eh ? The man sells homeless newspapers, and usually stands right in front of the supermarket where i do my shopping. He's the friendliest guy you'll ever meet, UNTIL you bring up the subject we're talking about here. He tells me that basically every Palestinian hates the Israeli's. They're not all fanatics of course, but they do hate them.
