Got it for the PC and have to say it's addictive. I hooked up my game controller for it of course (don't try it on the PC unless you're gonna use one). I must say it's a refreshing change to point + click games...I haven't had a good "beat 'em up" button-mash game I actually wanted to play in a long time. Of course, I love Marvel so that adds to the fun . Anyone else playing it?

Yeah, I just got it for the Xbox 360 today and played a 2 hours session.

I'm really liking it, but I'm getting confused with the skills and customization. I read that you can "sell back" old skills but I don't see an option for it. Also, I had activated manual selection, and wolverin had one point free. When I went over the Fury of blades skill or something like that, the name was yellow as if I could get it, but it wouldn't let me and I had to put it in the first skill instead. Now that I had no more points if I went back over the Fury of blades skill I could buy it with money. I don't get how the skills things work and the manual is pretty slim.

And when you're in your base and you go to the save/character select screen, there is an option for extraction(?) it wasn't mentioned in the manual and there is not discussion of it ingame. What does it do?

It's really a great game but it could use some more instruction. I'll be reading on it tonight on the net.

Yeah the manual is bad. I haven't figured out all of it as I am playing it kinda casually but loving it as I do.

I use "auto" for most skills since I use most of them alot. On my "main" character I use "manual". I imagine the reason you couldn't get it is because it cost more points than one. If you left-click on the skill it will bring up the cost and rank, plus a description of what it does. You have to hold the click though. I am not sure how to do it on Xbox since I use both controller and keyboard...but it's prolly one of the side buttons or somethin.

To make matters worse you can also invest points in costumes but these are bought through shield coins from what I can tell. Different costumes have different bonuses etc. Atop this you can then form an "official" team after a few levels, and start to accumulate "rep" which you can spend on team bonuses that only come into play with the specific team you formed. It's all basically gathering and spending points, but is a little confusing since there are so many methods and so little info. in the game manual.

I would recommend one cheat though. The one that unlocks all the locked chars. Many of them don't unlock until you beat the game so you will miss out on some of your favourites possibly. I amn't big into beating a game before using the bonus stuff, I like to have the most fun the first time round. That said, the game is designed in ways for replaying with all the different character choices...so of course it's up to you. I will probably return to it in multiplayer the second time 'round. I just really wanted Daredevil on my team . Cap is really good too btw, with his shield throw. Who's on your
team?

Edit: The extraction thing is from what I can tell just a teleporter. As you move into chapters it sets points that you can "recall" back to. Like it can send me back to the Shield point back on my first mission. AFAIK that's all it does.

So the extraction thing allow you do redo missions? Have you found a way to sell back your skills? I read that you could in a review.

I can't use the cheats. If you use the cheats on the Xbox 360 it disable getting the achievements and gamer points for your pforile.

Don't know if the extraction allows you to redo stuff. That would be handy since then you could go and look for bonus items you may have misssed in order to unlock things.

I have found no way to sell back skills, i didn't know it was possible until you mentioned it. I'd love to be able to respec though...

So I'm farter now. You can resell skills, but not the first point in a skill, so if you have 3 points in it you will be able to remove 2. I read that extraction does allow you to go back to old levels.

How do you resell? Is it just a right-click or something more?

On 360 it's the blue button. Look down where they tells you what does what it should be there if it's a skill you can sell back.

Resurrecting this thread as I've just picked the game up and am a bit confused (I'm an X-Men Legends 2 veteran).

Some questions:

1. in Legends 2 you could manually allocate points into Body/Focus/etc - I could not find an option to to do that here (only for Powers and Gear). How do I allocate points for Body/Focus/Striking etc?

2. I take it you can only use 1 item at a time? That should make things a bit less complicated, there were heaps in Legends 2 and it was annoying.

3. How do you buy a skill rank?

4. In fact, how do you buy anything?
