I find myself stuck in the end of this place and locked in. I can't seem to find a door out. Did I miss a button somehwere to open a passage out?

Could you be a bit more specific? Like are we talking about Morrowind or Oblivion? Which quest is involved? Which guild perhaps?

Hi Johnny
Sorry about the confusion I forgot this is a multi game forum. This is in Oblivion and is a Vampire lair North of Chorrol. I stumbled onto it wandering around. I killed all the vampires including the Patriarch (sp) Now that I find myself at the end of the lair I can't seem to find my way out. I seemed to be locked in as one of the gates can only be opened on the other side. Good thing I have a save game from when I first entered the lair. |

If i'm not mistaken that cave is part of a quest given to you by the duke of Chorrol. Isn't that a vampire himself? I believe he'll give you a key so you can enter and exit at will, but i guess it's too late for that now eh?
![]() Best you use your last savegame and go back there once the quest is triggered.

It could be part of a quest as yet I don't know. I just made level 12. I only cleared the first large room when I saved the game. I should be ok now if I get the quest and need to return. I did get a very nice Elven longsword there.
I love to wander around the game and just see what the world looks like. I found a place called Fort Carmala With more Vampires. It seems I have a knack for finding them. I found a room there at the end of the main passageway to the left. It looks like it might have a secret room if the way the stones are drawn is correct. I suppose one day I will find out what that is. |

Lipsand Tarn, like most dungeons in Oblivion, has an alternate route back to the entrance once you've reached the "boss". In this case, take the upper walkway encircling the boss' lair which will take you back to Lipsand Tarn proper. From here, it's only a short walk back to the main entrance.
