Me and 2 friends just finished a huge battle in W40k. Each side had 3300 points, me and another guy played Ultramarines against Chaos Iron Warriors... and in short, we were wiped out... The IronWarriors had 4 ordnance cannons (3 Defilers and one Basilisk) and through some strange luck ALWAYs made a hit on the scatter dice.
Still it was great fun, pretty long, took two night, and very painfull...

Anyone else played a huge battle... come to think of it, does anyone actually play the game here?

I would have played here but when I was moving to Orange, I unfortunantly lost half my Tyranid army, and not having a job didn't help, especially since Game Workshop still have huge pricetags on all their stuff, though now that I have a good job, I was thinking of getting back into it.

Last warhammer game I played was Gorkamorka, which is still pretty fun

I used to have a 2000 point Blood angles army with a dreadnaught, Captain Tyco, a chaplain, those berzerker warriors (can't remember the name) and a few tactical spacemarie squads (some with jump packs)

It was a pretty well balanced force.

Sold them all ages ago. Would be nice to get back into it.

I hate the rules, but I love the figurines.

I've got about 3,000 points of Eldar and 2,500 points of mixed Ultramarines/Demon Hunters. I'm updating some now-defunct marine models since the new codex came out.

New tyranids miniatures/codex are hitting stores this month. They're hella-cool. I usually play at least one battle a week.

I used to have a 5,000 point Eldar army and a crack 1,000 point Imperial Guard army, but sold most of it off now. Haven't played in years, doesn't seem to be popular anymore for people I know.

I used to play, but stopped about 3-4 years ago. I had some great battles, one where there was 10 of us, and combined our armies. It was imperial guard and ultramarines against a giant chaos marines force. That was a fun few days. I think GW is simply far too expensive these days though, and I dont think I'l ever get back into it. I loved painting the models though. Still got a 2500pointish ultramarine army sitting around gathering dust.
