Can they be recharged? If so, can they be recharged naturally or is there some method required?

Also, something I don't understand about the beer in this game - what the hell is it actually *supposed* to do? I've had my strongest fighter drink a simple bottle of ale and get nauseated from it. Is there something I'm missing?

IIRC you can sell them to a merchant and buy them back. They reload them for you.

I don't use those Ale, Fuzzfas Fizzer or others, because I discovered the same effect. Simply use alternate potions like Mod. Stamina, Cure Light Conditons or others.

Ah. I've never used enchanted items for fear of running out of charges when I need them most. I'll bear that in mind

I just don't understand the point of them being in the game. I've always used the proper potions when necessary.

I read somewhere that you can train the Iron Will skill with beer and similar stuff...

Cheers

I've had ale restore a few hp and stamina. I think it must make a check v. Vitality; if you make it, you regain hp & stamina; if not, you get nauseated.

There is a plot point where you give beer/ale/etc. to the Rapax Sheriff in the palace basement. Then you can pickpocket him more easily to get his key. (This opens a vault upstairs holding some notes that allow access to some of the King's treasury, which can then be used in the King's apt. to get the Muramasa blade and other goodies, with luck).

ale and fuzzfas fizzer act like a sane mind spell. if you give them to insane party members, they sober up (or down, depending on your perspective )

Hi Sultan,

it seems , this is another thing I never found out. I tried Fuzzfas Fizzer and Ale and they nauseated me. I always sold them.
In my current party ( again without magic-users ) and without NPC I really miss the ability to cure insanity. In my first party with NPC's I had RFS-81, who could use the 'Sane Mind' ring .
Thanks, that is the solution to this problem.

Greetings

Wow, I'll have to try the sanity effect.

I tried the iron will thing ... drank enough to make fraternity guys look sober ... got a whole whopping 1 pt iron will.

Other effects I have noted, but not mentioned already ... sometimes you can have a drink before a battle and get Superman. I don't think I've ever gotten hp back (unless it was from superman). I guess it's good for Bards, because at least outside of battle, they get full stamina back (when not nauseated), but my bard's slots are all full of instruments and don't have room for beers.
