Wow.. You gotta LOVE the free press this just got..

A warning though, about Thief III. Remember when I told you that most game companies that think their game is crap usually either don't release a DEMO, or they wait until AFTER a release of the title and THEN release a demo? Well, The demo won't be out until June 11th, and will ONLY be on the PC Gamer CD. (Then, I'm sure someone will upload it to the Inet), but still guys--be safe, and buy the game somewhere you can return it if it sucks. Or wait for all the Reviews to come before buying it.

Ion Storm IMO is a flakey gaming studio. I hope Thief 3 changes my opinion.

I read on Penny Arcane that for thief 3, the devs changed their engine to the Max Paine 2 engine, so there would be lot less of the features there was in the other 2 games. It's going to more of a regular FPS apparently.

Please tell me they aren't butchering what was already a perfectly good idea. Haven't they ever heard the phrase "if it aint broke don't fix it"?

Oh man, Luvian, I sure hope Penny Arcane is so wrong on this.

That is totally untrue, Penny is wrong. It uses the Deus Ex: Invisible War Engine, yet Much more advanced and updated version. Levels are MUCH larger they say, and better AI and other stuff.. we'll see.

I might have got it wrong on the engine, I played none of these game and might have confused them.

Here's a good preview of the game:

ugggg, no arrow ropes.. (putz developers.. "eww - its just to hard to make it work". to this I say, "umm, the other two games had it and were FAR less advanced".)

Nice to see that the arrows all arc now.

Pathetic that you can fall from a serious height that kills others w/out doing serious damage to yourself..

Ahh, well. I'll still pony up the change for it.

(I'm such a looser that I'll have a smile on my face while I pay far to much for a game that has been partially FURBAR'ed - In fact I can't wait.. 3 more days seems like an E T E R N I T Y).
