Tatoos of power?

On occasion, I'll see an enemy using a "Tatoo of Power". What's the story behind these?

Basically, they're magical tattoos that provide the 'wearer' an ability. It can be a permanent one, like a bonus to a certain stat, or resistance to for instance fire, or it can be a spell effect that kicks in when the command word is spoken.

It's really too bad that you can't get any of those for your character. You can get them in PS:T though.

It's a bonus granted to the enemy mages so that they can cast Stoneskin, Spell Deflection, and Fire Shield: Red (or some other combination) as soon as they see your party. It is a variation of Spell Sequencer, in short.

Yup, I've seen some fun sequencers so far from the lady below. Granted they were a bit weak for my level(just turned 12) but none the less, impressive. First time she said she was going to kill me, I couldn't pause the damn game fast enough and she casts it. she seemed to have had 3 spells going and one was a cast of three orbs where later she warped to. Wasn't much of a fight but I did like killing all the guards that kept coming and giving exp.
