I have only just got the game, but I have played for a few hours. What I was wondering is if I installed the patch have I got to start again or can I carry on with my existing character. Also is the patch worth installing?
Thanks in advance Anduin

Yes the patch is worth it. No, it doesn't screw up your old saves. If you get some "error" message related to your save game, just click "yes" and you should get through to your game. Once you re-save, you shouldn't get the error the next time around. You may also get "error" messages about your plug-ins. Also click yes and don't worry about it.
Note that the European 1.2.something patch is now (sorta) available. See my other post. Cheers, Alenkii Cvetocek |

Thanks for that Alenkii,
Just one other thing, if I install any mods will that affect my saves, or can I just carry on playing with the same character? Anduin

If you add the mod, you can still play saved games with the new mod.
If you have a save with a mod installed and then you remove the mod, you can run into problems if you used the features the mod added. Example: You use a house mod. You put all your stuff in the house. You remove the mod before removing your stuff from the house. Your stuff is gone now. |

Thanks for your help so far, sorry about this but I keep on thinking of things to ask. Can you load several mods at once? Will they conflict with one another? I have’nt used any mods yet and I am a bit reluctant to load multiple mods together. I want to cos some of them look really cool.

Yes, you can run several mods. The newest patch (1.2.something) takes care of some mod conflicts that could have occurred with earlier version.
