Put it in a weapon slot, primary slot, and put the rockets in the secondary slot, where you would put your ammo.

You want to be sure a character with some modern weapon skill is using it.

You don't even have to bother with the launcher if you don't want to. It's a poor weapon, even with mod weapons skill.

I just go down the side to the back room, grab the extra rockets, the stuff (usually junk) from the boxes under the table, then go on to covert ops. Later I sell all that. It's never made a difference in the game (except to save time).

But if you really want to find out how poor a weapon it is just click on combat and have all the other pcs guard while one shoots the launcher at the dummies. If you don't get all the dummies out with the launcher you won't be able to get out of combat mode without reloading or using the other pcs in combat mode.

I saw in my last game it gives everyone 10 points in modern weapons, but all my chars had 0 in the skill.

Does it add 10 points if they already have some skill? If so might be a very useful thing for a party with a Gadgeteer...

I ended up killing all of the dummies with ranged weapons after I ran out of rockets. Kind of a waste of time to do this 'training', but there is always a few things in all games that seem to be not worth the time and effort to do.

~~gimli~~

heya!
i don't own the rocket launcher anymore (sold it for cash!). but everyone practiced on it at the training center.

going into their stats now, i checked, and NO ONE has any skills in modern weapons at all. maybe it's only when you actually possess the launcher or the person who uses it gets +10 (much like any other thing that adds points when it is equipped).

::shrugs, smiling::

just not sure.
