Hi all. I've got a musket that used to show Shots: 1/1. At some point without me noticing it changed to Shots: 0/1 and it won't work. What happened? Is it broken? Can I fix it? I tried joining it with musket balls, masking tape and other things but it doesn't work.

Help!

May thanks.

Hey a fellow San Diego!

As for the musket - not sure, have not used it.

But someone here will probably have your answer! This board rocks!

This is what worked for me. I sold my muskets and then re-bought them and they were recharged.

you got to prime the barrel, take the muskets balls and just click on the musket...and the ammo got to be carried by your character in their inventory not in the ammo slots.

Ummm, I carry the musket balls in the ammo slot and my characters autoreload their muskets from there. Same with the Blunderbuss.

I do the same as Lady A - it's never failed me. I have had two blunderbuss failures, and they were simply fixed by selling and immediate re-buying.

you can just pick up the musket balls with the cursor and then click on the musket or blunder bluss to fill it up. Also, you need not have the musket balls in the ammo slot to refill, anywhere in the personal inventory will work.

Interesting.

I always just placed ammo in the secondary slot that went with the musket/blunderbuss/zipgun (just like Arrows go w/Bows). (This saves a precious inventory slot, too.)

I never had a situation where the PC lost an attack due to reloading the modern weapon.

Are folks saying that your character will reload even if the musketballs are in the PC's ruck sack?

Thanks for the help, All. The solution was to click the musket balls on the musket (no need to sell then buy.) I guess the musket will fire as long as you have ammunition in the secondary slot, but once it runs out, it'll fire the last ball and then be empty. You don't combine the two, you just click on the musket with the ammo.

Thanks again!
