Hey CocoaSpud!
Any chance of a slight adjustment to the Chain Event? Could you re-arrange the order in which the Chain events are listed? Example... Chain Event (xx) Chained Event: [event] Normal Chain: [event] Presently the Normal Chain is listed first, followed by the Chained Event. The rest of the events-types you have listed put the Normal Chain after the others. This sometimes leads me to put the chained events for the Chain in the wrong place. I know it's a small thing, but when I make a mistake I end up having to redo everything. Cheers! ------------------ Hey! Like RPGs? I just ran a test on this. As an example I used the Question Yes/No event. It shows the Normal chain before the add-ons (Yes Chain, No Chain), as the Chain event does. Which event are you using that reverses this? I would definitely like to make them uniform.

Sorry, made a mistake there...(embarrassed).
The events are all listed in the same order. I've now got my head round which Event link is chained when the conditions are met. Again, sorry. ![]() ------------------ Hey! Like RPGs? See the DungeonCraft - RPG Game Maker on the Ironworks Gaming Forum |

A thought to consider about event chains....
What if you could number the sequence out and add a "chain to XX" so that you could jump from any spot in a chain to any other spot in a chain. The reasoning for this would be like for, say, quest events where you go to advance 1 step in a quest (of 255 or some really large number) and you don't perform the check of the previous 254 stages OR if you have a complex event tree and it has 2 or more endings that are the same (so you don't have to re-type the same ending 2 or more times.) BTW, ppl, I'm new to the forum and I hope that these ideas I've always had for a better FRUA aren't something you ppl have already done. |

There may be a way to do that, but I'm not sure what it is. We have to be careful in the code to disallow circular references in the events. I'll add it to the list of things to do and think on it.
