Here is a BBC review of the movie. It sound as though it will be a corker.

"Like the last two films, Azkaban provides more than its fair share of scares - the Dementors make their debut here and are terrifying in parts.

But it's also a beautiful film, Cuaron's eye for detail giving rise to some genuinely stunning set pieces and special effects.

There are also some terrific performances from the cast newcomers, including Gary Oldman as Black and David Thewlis as the latest Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, Professor Lupin.

Michael Gambon steps into Richard Harris' shoes as Dumbledore and does a fine job.

But while all the usual elements and characters are present - from the Dursleys to Draco Malfoy - the emphasis is much more on Harry, Ron and Hermoine.

Radcliffe has never been better, and it is a pleasure to see the central trio growing into their roles, as much as the characters are growing with them.

All of which adds up to one of the best films of the summer so far, and one that bodes well for Harry Potter's future on film."

Damn aussie lingo...I thought 'corker' would be something bad until I finished the post

Well, HP book 3 is still my favorite out of the 5 so far...book 5 really went downhill I think. So this movie better be as good as they say!

Corker, ripper, Beauty !!

It all means this film is the most 'look foreword' to release this season. Is it being released all over the world at the same time?

The first two books were good and not my favorites. And I detested the first two movies. And I know therer is a new director so I hope he would do good on Prisoner of Azkaban (Which is one of my favorites)

I love all the Harry Potter books, but loathe the first two films...I also have high hopes for this film. Maybe it can redeem it's two awful predecessors...

I know I'll enjoy this film.

Even more so than the first two as, so far, the third book is my favorite.

I went to see it today, and it was okay.. not my favorite of the 3 so far. (Read all the books)..

This film is directed by someone else, and I DID NOT like the lighting in this movie at all. WAY to 'bright' and washed out.. the last 2 movies used a warm/cozey orange light and it looked stunning.

The Dem's are REALLY cool.. I didn't like their heads though--looked like a really round balloon in the hood, and not enlongated like in the book drawings--which looks REALLY scary. But it was ok.. They totally chopped the book apart, but that is to be expected I guess... should have been a 3 hour movie, as the book was a BIT larger than 1 and 2. (book 4 and 5 SHOULD for SURE get 3 hours.. just too much going on).

I have to wait till next week to see it. The first few days are a sell out (it comes out on Thursday) and then I have to work for four days.

Curse the delay!

I saw it, twas ok, although not that much happened in the film, although I suppose not that much happened in the book, although I would have liked to have seen some more of Hogsmeat since it had more mention in the book. The Dementors were really cool. One thing I noticed was all the characters were much older in this one, except Hermione!
