anyone seen the newest terminator movie yet? My dad saw it and said it was pretty good. I don't know how they bring back the terminators after the last movie, but I am fairly anxious to see it. I was wondering if anyone saw it and if so if they could post their thoughts.

I have seen it and as a terminator fan from the beginning thoroughly enjoyed it. That being said I did have a couple problems with it. A) you could REALLY see the compugraphics in the big chase scene whereas with the two previous shows I thought they were done better (specially the tow truck in T2, that was just frickin WICKED!) B) I was hopeing to see more of the post apocoliptic scenes that we have been teased with for the past 20 or so years since the original came out. But by the looks of things there will be at LEAST one more show coming out with all that stuff. As for Arnies shades youll get a kick out of his initial entry and dress scene in T3.

The sunglasses seem a bit different from the other movies but Arnie's got a new, special pair.

Below is my, very personal, opinion of the movie and it contains details.

I was a bit disappointed with T3.
Special effects were certainly not better than in T2 and I found the story quite weak. Unlike T2, I won't have to see it again.

One of my questions before seeing the movie was: How is skynet created without the CPU from the previous terminators? And in T3 no answer is given except for: It was inevitable that it would be built. Weak.

Also the end of the movie where John Conner realises there is no Skynet core computer but it is the Internet/cyberspace. Excuse me! The entire planet is being bombed out of existence but the internet will survive???? Come on that is total BS.

And where does the virus come from that is infecting the internet. At some point it is said that the virus IS skynet. How? They connect skynet to the internet to erase the virus. How is it then possible that skynet launched itself as a virus? Or is it the other way around? The defense system "skynet" is infiltrated by a selfconscient (part) of the internet? Anyway, unclear.

If i've missed something in the movie, please let me know. I do not like disliking T3.

I just assumed that while the CPU was destroyed in T2, some of the information gleaned from its study survived. As for the bit about the internet, I just took that to mean that after being activated, Skynet was now everywhere. Any computer anywhere was now a part of it. Skynet would certainly ensure that some part of itself survived when the bombs started falling. As for the virus... That is a bit harder. Perhaps Skynet, in some previous testing, was linked up in a limited capacity to the internet, where it released a timebomb virus that would eventually activate and lead to the events of the film.
Anyhow, I would have liked if they had included one little thing: When listing the secondary targets for termination, they should have included Reese. I thought it would be cool if John had to save the life of a young boy who would grow up and eventually go back to save *him* before his birth. It could have been neat having him be friends with a young boy, who in actuality is his father...
Anyhow, I liked that they got the story back on track... I always felt it was wrong that they had been successful in T2... There is no way to change things. In effect, all they did was create a divergent reality.

I really enjoyed T3 , although i think its sad that purely from its predecessors that expectations are much higher than normally with a movie, although now i admit im just creaming myself to see T4 - all in the future baby

My guess is that Reece will be John and Kate's son. He probably won't be, but it would still be cool, a time-fluxuating conundrum so to speak. The father is the son is the father...
