Does anyone know where to find Dungeons and Dragons online so one doesn't have buy $30 books or wait for a long period of time and then have them for only 3 weeks at the library? Not neccesary the whole books, but character making with rolls of dice and such...

If you want the actual book then you can usually find a cheaper buy on eBay. I've only bought one book from eBay, but there seemed to be a pretty decent selection of D&D books.
Although possibly against copyright laws, one could feasibly find just about anything one wanted on Kazaa Lite ![]() Edit: And btw, the specific book you're probably wanting is the Player's Handbook. It covers character creation, game rules, role-playing basics, etc. The link True_Moose gave you has the 2nd Edition Player's Handbook [ 10-29-2002, 12:47 AM: Message edited by: Darkman ]

The free version of D&D is called "The D20 System". You can find it here: http://www.opengamingfoundation.org/srd.html This doesn't include all the rules from D&D, but it's got all the basics.

I didn't bookmark the Roar website, you'll have to try a search engine.
The D20 system is an open system created by WotC. Anyone can use it without paying royalties. The website I posted is totally legal.
