I took a break from Durlag and wandered across an area I hadn't been to before. Picked up Samuel and was going to take him back to Friendly Arm for the reward, when I got an idea. Well, two ideas. First, I stuffed him into a bookcase, which was good for a laugh. Then, I dumped him on the ground, had my cleric cast animate dead on him, and presto, instant skeletons. I had her make another batch of skeletons, had Minsc pick him up again, then rested...dumped him back on the ground, cast the spell again, and got more skeletons. I'm sure others have done this before, but I think it's kind of cool having an instant skeleton maker along with me on my travels now. Of course, this doesn't do Samuel any good, but it's for a good cause!

He's on a mostly empty map on the lower right of the map screen. It's a fetch and deliver quest, but instead of an item this time, it's a person. My evil gnomes left that quest until right before the city, so when they finally got it, they left him in the FFE HQ.

Samuel is the dead body of some guy who ya have to take to the FAI for a side quest.

Can't you just animate dead anyway, you don't need a dead body.

Samuel is actually alive, if I recall correctly.

And you can animate dead even without bodies, unlike PnP.

I would have to agree though there are a heap of dead bodies you take places for quests.

I thought you needed a body to do that spell. Never tried it without a body.
