P.S. You posted the same thing 4 times. That's not looked at kindly here, and in fact, not allowed here.

well, elves are pretty, nimble, elegant little creatures. whereas orcs (or half-orcs which is what I believe you mean) are hulking behemoths of death and destruction!!!
hmm, tough choice, I think it all comes down to what class you're talking about, I mean I really don't see a half-orc bard being too common (though I know there's one around here somewhere ), while an elven barbarian has always seemed sorta odd to me. personally I like half-orc tanks and elven rangers/magic-users. though I pick elves more than the latter, but I like pretty things

PS:I doubt he MEANT to post 4 times, probably just an honest mistake

do you mean elves and orcs in general in the forgotten realms? if so then general discuusion or the BG2 forums wouldve been a better place to post this....

if you mean particularly elves and half-orcs in IWD2, then like spydar said it very much depends on your class... unless you meant something else by "better"...

Spirits Forever, please be more specific in your query and make sure you are staying on topic with the IWDII game.

To answer the question....I would never role-play a half-orc. I don't like any type of orc, and to role play one is not much different I assume than a barbarian, except for the obvious public appearance, which ranks up there near a drow on the surface. Not widely accepted.

Yes but it really depends on what class you want to be. If your going to be a sorcerer than i would say wild elf if your going to be a male wizard or female cleric i would choose drow. Also for the wild elf you could be a paladin as well. I would really never be an half orc ether, i agree with Larry its a piontless thing to do. It is a roleplaying game not a hack and slash game where you want the most dominante tank around. But if you insist i will not hold you back, if anything be a fighter or barbarian due to the high str levels of a half orc.

For moon elfs im not sure because i can not quit rember what they are good at because i never played with them.

Are you saying that people playing half orcs are not roleplayers? If so, you really need to re-think your notion of roleplaying.

Half-Orcs are as good as any other race to roleplay as. What's wrong with wanting to play a chaotic good barbarian who got banned from his tribe for refusing to butcher innocents and since then leave as an outcast, defending caravans from bandits and other orcs? That look like a fun character to me.

Or how about an half orc that was raised in a temple of Lathander and became a priest? This has potential, too.

And are you saying that that only people who play good characters are roleplayers?

Whats wrong with an evil orc whose tribe honoured him for slaying many innocents and who once hearing about the conflict with the legion of chimera saw that as his chance to join the bloodshed...

Or how about a half-orc who was seen by the priests of talos as an excellent potential for destruction and decided to raise him
