I just been into the city of BG and i;ve got two quests already, but both of them leaning on the evil side. The quests are:
The one about the flying ship and Wizards daughters, or something?(It was a Thief guild)
and the second to steal a telescope from a measuem for a Dwarf/
I just would like to know if i'll lose my popularity or not by doing these quests.

P.S please don't tell me how to do them, just tell me if i;ll lose pop stats. I'm a good boy with a good party. I know some say evil are better but i see no real difference apart from the fact that goods seem to get more quests, i'm sure.

Okay, thanks. Though it'll spice things up to have flying ships around the coast.

With the "Skyship Quest", I don't think you will lose any rep points, however you could if guards came or you ended up killing an innocent. With the "Telescope Quest", I think you will lose some rep points, but it's nothing you can't correct with the right amount of coin at a local Temple.

It is not my experience that you lose Rep points for quests themselves. However, many of the quests (by their very nature) put you in lousy situations that if you do not extract yourself from will drop your rep. Example being the popular telescope quest. Possible spoiler...

If you go in with your entire party to steal the telescope then when the guards show up (as they unvariably do) then you will have a hard time extracting your party with the telescope without a fight. The casualties of that fight cause you to lose the rep points. However if you leave your party outside and enter only with your thief then once you nab the telescope you can hide in the shadows and escape without being detected causing no damage to your rep.
