Im stuck in dragons eye, I have killed everything down to the 3rd floor now i find that i cant open any of the doors there or cross the wax coated bridge. I know the one door leads to another floor but when you click on it it just says something about hydraulics and what it smells like, cant figure out how to open it. Oh whats up with that room with the eye that makes you run when you get near it? Also on the 2nd floor there is the mater of making the potions but the lever is broken and i cant fix it, the note i found talks about it and say how someone is going to fix it? anyway im lost in this place plz help

Major spoilers ahead...
I'm just gonna run through the whole thing that I did, cuz I'm not sure what you've done. I'm stuck too so this may be missing something, but it should help somewhat... Nheero (or whatever his name is, the prisoner you talk to who needs his modified mandrake root to make a potion to continue his research) mentions he's looking for his lost partner. If you go to the upper right corner of floor 2, and down a passage (the one where a boulder chases you down) you find his partner, Mandal, dead on the floor... and it makes a journal entry saying you found him. Go back to Nheero and tell him, and he says if you could find Mandal's sword, Mandal's ghost will show you where the modified mandrake root is. Go down to the 3rd floor. In the northmost area there's a pool and a big table... I believe Mandal's sword is on that table (have a bad memory, but it's somewhere near the beginning of floor 3). Now go back to floor 2, where you found Mandal's corpse, and his ghost will be there and show you to the modified mandrake root. Once that little movie is over, you can get to the root through a staircase in the center of the map of floor 2 (the stairs look like a bunch of boulders, but it's a stair down if you put your cursor over it) It's a small area with one monster (ancient greater wyvern or something) And the root should be there on the ground. Bring the root back to Nheero. He'll tell you go to the lab to make the potion. This will spawn (?) D'hey-jazerren in that area. The lever seems to work once he's appeared. Take the real mandrake root out of the middle table and put the modified mandrake root on it, then talk to D'hey. If you have someone good at intimidate you can scare him into making the potion for you, otherwise I guess you fight him/his guards (I had an intimidator... don't know what happens otherwise) He'll pull the lever and make the modified potion, then you take the potion and modified root and put the real mandrake root back, and you should get a message saying it's done. Take the potion back to Nheero. You can supposedly make as many real or modified mandrake potions as you need, from putting one of the roots on that table and pulling the lever with a char with high alchemy, but mine has 14 and can't make it herself. D'hey-jazerren walks back and forth and sometimes pulls it himself and it then makes another potion, but you might have to wait a while... it's buggy. BUT you need another modified mandrake potion for floor 3, so make another however you can get it to work. (if it is really bugged you can use ctrlaltdelete:CreateItem("61POTNSP",1) [img]tongue.gif[/img] ) As for the poison needed for the 3rd floor... you need at least 4 of those green stingers dropped from the wyverns. While still in the lab, put all 4 (or more) stingers on the first table (the one that says its made for extracting poison), and have your char pull the lever. This DOES seem to work every time, unlike the mandrake potions. Take all 4 (or more) bottles once it's done. On floor 3, you need to poison 4 pools. The first pool is in the northernmost room... drop one of the 4 bottles of wyvern poison in it. To get to the 2nd and 3rd pools.... there is a round room near the center that says the door opens on a timer but someone with the right tools could bypass it (which made me think you need some special tool, but that's another story) What you really need is someone with search skill. Search in that room and you'll find a little square. I had to step on it to open the doors. (you did this part anyway [img]tongue.gif[/img] ) The 2nd and 3rd pools are on the left, in the upper and lower rooms of this new section... use wyvern poison on those too. As for that eye that makes you run back... use the 2nd modified mandrake potion you made, and it will turn you into a Histardi(sp?). Now you can walk up into the room. Use alt to highlight the secret shelf, pull it, and this will drop the that wax covered drawbridge. When you cross you'll get attacked by efreetis and talk to some kid who wants his mama, and then you'll probably be stuck in the same place I am, cuz that's as far as I got. There's a room in the SE with a door with no visible way of opening it, the 4th pool is in there, and supposedly when you poison that one it opens the hydraulic door (?) but it's not working for me. > ![]() |

nevermind, I figured it out... if you want spoilers after meeting the kid read on...
. . . . . . . . . . . after you talk to the kid, go back to level 2 and talk to Nheero and ask him to research Thasselus (however it's spelled).. Nheero moves to the library by the lab and you have to rest for 24 hours. In my case he then had to go to the library on 3 and research AGAIN for another two days... anyway, he finally tells you he's the kid, basically. Now tell the kid you know who he is and he attacks, when I fought him he turned into a snake and went through a hole in the lower right corner.. follow him and you'll be in the room with the 4th pool, and the unopenable door, which will now open. I went back up to the room with the snakes devouring a human statue and he was waiting there.. killed him, and the hydralic door opened. Sheesh! [img]redface.gif[/img] |
