do IWD, HOW, or BG2 work in windows xp?

they should work in XP.

They *should* but don't hold your breath. I bought a new pc system with all the bells and whistles and xp to boot and .....nada.
I even contacted Black Isle and their reply was that it was only compatiable with win98. ( Which was out when the game was made)
However....IWD2 will definately be compatable. I installed a dual boot on my pc so I can either open in xp or win98. You might want to try that.

thanks, i'll be getting XP soon, i'll get the guy to do that.

it's nice having friends that work in computer stores and know everything about them.

There are several references to IWD and windows xp issues - some are video card / driver related - others are more general. There are two threads on the first page and several more within the first couple of pages. Hope this helps out!
