What this mod does:
Using the Baldur’s Gate II engine and rule set with updated features you get to go all the way from Candlekeep to the final boss fight with you know who from ToB! It also adds 200 + hours of content that is interesting, challenging and rewarding. It took me a bit over a month to play through this but I was taking my time exploring all the new options, events and quests! (And yes, you finally get to see how your party of adventurers was captured and taken to umm, you know where.)

First of all, go here:
http://forums.forgottenwars.net/inde...&showforum=193
Download all of these components and follow the install guide. You will need to have BG I with TotSc as well as BG II with ToB.
As a final step prepare to have the MOST fun you have ever had!

Note:

1. I did not use names because I do not want to spoil it for people who have yet to play this.
2. This is a hard drive cruncher people... You will need a full install of these 2 games, and that’s huge in itself, then come the mods, that’s about 1 GB worth of data as well. Trust me, if you have broadband you HAVE TO DO THIS!

Hope you enjoy this as much as I did!

While I'm glad you're enjoying the mods you have, for other people's benefit I believe BG1Tutu does a better job of bringing BG1 to the BG2 engine in a fraction of the download size, and it doesn't come with the arbitrary extra content which some people find to be of dubious quality.

Why on _EARTH_ would I want to replace the superior engine and looks of BG1 with that of BG2? Point me to a mod that does the opposite and ports everything to the BG1 engine and I'll download it.

HOLY CRUD. How did you get that many flaming on you? Mad dog, that’s just mad!

As for Tutu, I tried it and didn't like it. The crashes alone made it not worth it. As for the extra content, I likes mah games big. The bigger the better. Just giving people some choice.
Another thing about Tutu is there are virtually no mods for it! The ones I found were rather short.

If you want BG I + Tales in a BG II engine, get Tutu. (The game still ends when BG I ends).
If you want BG I + Tales + BG II + TOB all in one package + A LOT of extra game play, story, quests, etc get BGT. BGT will allow you to play from BG I all the way to TOB without a stop.

The Flaming Fists were spawning and respawning over and over due to a missed trigger. I did not hit the chapter 6->7 trigger just outside the exit from the Candlekeep catacombs for some reason and I didn't notice, so some conditions in the scripts failed. One of them was the one preventing new Fists from spawning when some had been spawned already.

You're not a big fan of higher resolution, dual-wielding, and so on then?

Crashes?

There are more mods for Tutu than for the BG1 section of BGT. http://modlist.pocketplane.net/ should list them.

I concur. I simply point out that much of the content added by BP-BGT is widely considered to be of rather dubious quality. Go to pretty much any BG2 forum and ask for opinions on TDD and you'll see what I mean.
Nope. Can't say I am. Is not essential to a good gaming experience. Comfortable graphics, icons, walking speed and the general look 'n feel however is crucial.

You'll be pleased to know, then, that with Tutu you can retain BG1's menu graphics and walking speeds.

Yeah I had Tutu and that mod for it.. Umm Lure something. I forgot what it was, lol. I haven’t saved in a while and crashed to desktop in the mines. About 5 hours of progress lost. (I take my time with games.)
The second time I did the same thing and crashed in Baldur's Gate, about 6 more hours lost. I then uninstalled it and tried BGT. Not a single crash or error.
Yes I know it should be a habit to save, but I try to play "ironman" where I don't save until I'm done. It adds to the challenge and realism. After all, if you save, you can just reload again. Where would the fun in that be? You wouldn’t need to spend time leveling up if you could just reload anytime someone dies because you weren’t prepared for battle.

Hmm well I myself loved all the extra content in the mod, and I’m really hard on mods. I expect them to be as good as the game, and this one really surprised me, since it really does have some great content! Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I can understand that some people might not like it, but I did and that’s all that matters to me, lol.

Well, okay, if you're completely satisfied with BGT, then that's fine of course. It's strange though, because it's always been the opposite for me: Tutu doesn't crash while BGT's fairly unstable. Perhaps you played a newer version than me or something.
