You get told almost everything about him in BG2. Have you fineshed it yet? Or do you want to know more than you are told in bg2? All i can say is play through the game.

From what I gather from his speech with E, the two were in the early stages (to Elves) of love, but definitely not married. Centeol refers to "insults done to him and his wife by me."
