Strange Problem finishing Crom Faer

I ran into a bit of a problem making the Crom Faer. Long story short, after I exiting the Underdark I returned to the Umar Hills/Ranger Stronghold where I ditched a lot of scrolls, loose junk. My character is a ranger but I completed the Ranger quest when Valygar was in the party. I kicked him out before going into the underdark.

When I show up at the Ranger Cabin the door is barred and the contents emptied. People in the towm tell me that my Ranger friend is not welcome there anymore. Obviously, I need the Crom Faer scroll to finish the job so where did my stuff go?

I thought adding Valygar to party again may help but I can't find him?
Does it have to do with reputation points?

Any ideas?

It could do with reputation, but more than likely....er ahum, did you give those kids in Imnesvale the Baalor Ale and the swords?

If so, bye-bye cabin!

You can always CLUAConsole in the Crom Faeyr scroll, or use Shadowkeeper to add it to your inventory.

P.S. I think you can find Valygar at his home in the Docks District of Athkatla. I don't think adding him will help your dilemma, though...this sounds pretty permanent. Sorry!

Our modding friend Paris has obviously given the reason, so the only thing I can tell you is that the code for the Crom Faeyr-scroll is SCRLAG. [img]tongue.gif[/img]

I gave the kids the swords and ale and i kept my cabin.

It may have something to do with when you do it...if you do it before you complete the ranger quest and then rescue them from the cave, it may not matter. However, I know for sure that if you do give them the swords and ale and then don't do anything about it, you'll lose the cabin...or may not even have it offered to you.

Correct. The children should drink milk instead of ale and they should play with wooden horses instead of bastard swords. Never give the boys in Umar Hills ale or swords if you want to become a protector of the village.

Sorry guys i alwasy give them the swords and ale with my ranger and I alwasy either get or keep the strong hold

I have no earthly idea what you're doing to do that, Lanthir, because every other person who has the Ranger stronghold gets kicked out for giving the kids swords and ale. My only guess would be two things:

1) you're saving the kids from the "dragon"-cum-gibberling in the small cave NW of the town

2) you've got something downloaded that blocks your losing the stronghold.

Other than that, I can't imagine what it is, unless it's a glitch.
