Boos gone and Minsc is crippled

What gives?? Do I got a glitch or bug?

I did a mission for the harpers at the docks involving some monsters in a house and when i was finished Boo was gone and minsc couldnt was encumbered. His strength dropped to (10) I had to strip all his armor and weapons off for him to walk.

Is this part of the story line or is it a glitch? If it's part of the story line cool... dont need any help I'll try to figure it out. If it's not then must be a glitch... happen to anyone else?

You have Unfinished Business installed, which includes Minsc's quest (which was cut from the original release of the game). Boo being missing and Minsc being heartbroken because of that is not a bug.

Which is not to say that you DON'T have a bug. Didn't Minsc have anything to say about the loss of his beloved miniature giant space hamster? No accusations of who might have stolen his faithful animal companion? No mention of any clues or leads? If so, and he's left you high and dry, then you might have a bug. But if Minsc HAS talked about it, and you have notes about it in your Journal, then you've got nothing whatsoever to complain about, just take the quest as you would any other. (If Minsc hasn't said anything about it, a quick fix might be to simply force-talk him: Select your PC, click the "Talk" button and aim at Minsc.)

I finally decided to check my journal after running around crazy and reloading and reloading and see it's a part of the storyline... but does he suppose to lose his strength? Maybe heartbroken = loss strength. I dunno, every time I thing I'm getting going "BAM" something slows me down to a crawl in this g.... aint it great [img]smile.gif[/img] )) lol

It is not a bug. Relax--Minsc is good for other things than wading into a fray with a 2-Handed sword, you know. Treat him like an Archer for now and take things as they come.

You dont have to do the minsc quest as you could just drop him and go for Korgan ( who is a stronger minsc ) but i strongly disagree as minsc is 1 of the funniest characters in the game, alongside jan.

I was "firmly" told Korgan wouldnt mesh with my group and would cause BIG problems.

Anyways... how could i do without "jump on my blade evil... " lol

Whew!! took me hours but I finally found that $%@# Boo, almost had to kill a girl to get him. Well that was interesting that quest took up my entire gaming session... got to get some sleep.. lol

This game is a riot...

Korgan is an evil aligned character i think so if your 2 good ( high reputation ) then he will probably leave. But korgan does have a dual melee/throwing axe and is hitpoints are slightly higher than minscs.

I've lost Minsc but for SOME reason the text is mixed up and I'm getting responses/replies for other mods installed. Minsc is currently at 10 STR, but the easy way around that: Take his proficiency in the Mace along with his two weapon skill and give him the Mauler's Arm (puts his STR back to original) and another mace (Disruption possibly) and our evil hating friend forgets all about Boo and does a number on Undead, especially Vampires, his chosen enemy)

Any help on where to head to look for Boo, or any way to fix the gobbledygook for UB (and other) modded subquests would be appreciated!

It sounds as though your strings are garbled. Have you recently installed and/or uninstalled mods in a different order from your original installation? This can corrupt the strings, causing problems. Because this involves quest mods (rather than NPC mods, which usually include a string-fixer) I am not sure what can be done short of a fresh installation.
