On my current run through the trilogy (playing BGT) I have been playing a bard (a Blade to be precise) for the first time. I always thought that the Bard's spellcasting abilities were limited to lvl6 spells and less but now when my Blade reached lvl 21 (which is still within SoA XP cap) he got his first lvl7 slot. Was I just mistaken or is there something wrong.
Only mod I have is BGT other than that it's a normal SoA+ToB+patch+Baldurdash installation

ToB does that to your Blade.

The heck it does. You got a bug, Faceman. Looks like BGT accidentally modified the Bard's spellcasting tables.

Okay, now I want to know what everybody is smoking, because I seem to be missing the hallucinating parties.

The only IE game that lets Bards gain level 7-8 spells is IWD, not the BG Trilogy.

I believe XP cap removers enable Bard's to cast level 7 and 8 spells.

I believe that Weimer's Ease-of-Use has a component that claims to "un-nerf" the spellcasting tables. I installed it, thinking that it was a minor tweak that enabled pure Mages to cast 5 Level 9 spells per day, under the ToB EXP cap.

Imagine my surprise when Nalia's spellbook began looking like Edwin's, and Haer'Dalis could cast ADHW.

seems to me that Bards with higher spell levels in ToB is okay/intended
recently got to Saradush and aquired the Bronze Ioun Stone which gives one extra lvl7 spell and is usable by Mages and Bards. If Bards could not go past lvl 6 this would be senseless as you can't get the extra spells if you don't have a slot already. So I gues it's either plain ToB or was at least intended to be.
