BG2 Level 50 Patch & XP Cap Remover

I downloaded this from Sorceror's Place, and then I ran it and unzipped it into the Black Isle folder on my computer. Should it work now? Or do I have to do anything else? I'm no good at this kind of stuff

The files for this kind of mod should wind up in the override folder. Some archives are designed to be extracted straight to the BG2 folder, others need to be put in the actual override folder.

Safest way is to drag the files into the override folder by hand, that will override the path setting and make sure its going where you sent it.

If you get it wrong the mod will have no effect.

Well, technically, not really, but if you're soloing through the game or have less than a 4-person party, it allows you to keep levelling up past the regular XP max, and still gain abilities, so it's pretty handy.

Err... I'm not exactly sure which files are the ones from this mod. Any way I can tell?

Ideally, there should be a little file in the archive called readme.txt or readme.doc.

9/10 times, reading that will tell you what you need to know.

Simple. If you unzipped it straight to your black isle folder, they will be the files in either the black isle foler itself, or a black isle\override folder.

As I said, if they are in the wrong place it will have no effect, so you can saely leave them there.

If you want the actual file list, look in the .zip and see whats there. Probably a bunch of .2da files.
