im trying to get rid of my experience cap on my bg 1 game version,1.1.4315, ive scanned all the posts on this topic, and i cant get anything to work, i installed bghack, it didnt support that version, then i tried the gruntware x cap remover, set it all up, it said the x cap had been removed, followed all the instructions, just to find that i was still capped, then i looked a little further down the forum list, and cut and pasted some text another poster had put in his reply, and that didnt do anything either, so im fresh out of ideas, and at my cap limits, can someone post a reply with some current info on this matter, and please dont send me to teambg, cause i tried there too, and apparently there bankrupt and no longer opperating the site, thx in advance

finally found an ex cap remover that works from that sorcerors link, thanx very much mate, i was on the verge of giveing up, that was my 7th attempt of finding one that worked, much appreciated

I wouldn't mind the XP cap if it wasn't so LOW--there's more experience in straight BG1 (without ToSC) than the XP cap for ToSC! Which means you hit the cap about halfway through the game, and who wants to spend the entire second half of Baldur's Gate with characters that aren't getting any better? THAT'S why I think most people remove the cap. BioWare would have done well to set the caps for BG1 and ToSC at 160,000 and 260,000, respectively.

well acutally, i found the bg exp cap pretty good, sicne my characters just hit the exp cap by the tiem i got to the end of the game....it seems to fit perfetly for me lol...but hweni got tales, i removed it hehe

Team BG has a good one but it is currently down (it should be back fairly soon, though). Try Sorcerer's Place at http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/BG/index_editors.htm

as in my original post, team bg isnt down, there gone, i tried to log onto there site other day and it said theyd filed for bankruptcy, and now when you try all you get is the 404 error,
