1)If you have the exp cap remover, you can advanced to level 40, a level 40 sorcerer is supposed to have 5 spels of every level at that point, but has only 3 level9 spels(advancement stops at lv 20). The balduras fixes this for clerics and mages, but no for sorcerers! Is there anything for sorcerer?

2)If you have the menioned cap remover you can cast level 9 spels, but you cannot lear them. Do you know any fix for this?

3)The bonus mercahnt in adventure's mart sells a skul-like helmet that casts simurcularcum, but if you use it it sais save vs. death and no clone is made. Is that a bug? Any fix?

4)It seems that the vampires have some kind of attack that can kill a party member&remove him from the party = permanet death, no resurection. What kind of attack is that? Any way to protect from it?

5)Is simurcularcum considered a summoning spell? When I had 4 creatures and 1 simurcularcum, it said that I can't have more than 5 creatures. Why can't you cast simurcularcum when your clone is dead and have to wait for the duration to expire?

maybe the vampires chopped him to itsy bitsy peices when your character was at low hitpoints?

offhand i can't remember them doing any special ultra death attack.

Simurcularcum is considered a summon spell. I'm not sure why even if the clone is dead you have to wait for the duration to expire.

Maybe when you're down to one level and the vamps drain 3 levels, that counts as such a major hit that you get wiped off the roster

If that's the reason, try Negative Plane Protection

1.I don't know waht is exp cap remover, but I have SoA+official patch+ToB+OfficialPatch and my sorcerer is lvl 28 with 6 spells from each type (lvl 9 spells) and 7 or 8 different lvl 9 spells and special abilities.In the last few level ups the game started to give me spells from the low levels increasing up. The entire game SoA+ToB I played it with 5 party members. Imagine if I was with 2 party members.

2.I can not understand you. The sorcerer doesn't learn spells he just knows them and on level up he decides wich ones to remember - the mages can.

3.The only skull-like helmet I know allows you to cast death spell.

4.As far as I know they have not special hit - they're just lvl drainers.

5.The same happens with wizard eye. May be a bug.

As far as the XP cap remover is concerned, the corresponding control file is the mxsplsrc.2da file. At level 40, the sorceror should have 6 spells in each spell level. He should have these 6 spells in each spell level starting from level 20. The sorceror gets next spell (the 7th level 1 spell) at level 41 (inspecting the bg2_lvl50.exe XP cap remover).
If it isn't the case then something is wrong with your XP cap remover. Check whether you have the mxsplsrc.2da file in your "override" directory. Check the contents of the file - it's a plain text file that can be viewed (or updated! ) by any text editor.

for question 2 i meant mage - take Aerie or Jan for example, they cannot learn level 9 spells from scrols, so how can they cast them

sorcerer choses new spels every level at certain point he should have 5 spels from everz level and casting ability of 6/day for every level, however if I use a cheat to get him to max level, level 40, he has only 3 diferent spels from level 9 spels. Not that I would want to cheat, but I am afraid that I will not get any more spels after level 20. When I instaled the baldurash thing that is supposed to fix this, it was fixed only for priest and mage-they had the number of spell tables they were supposed to have. It did not fix sorcerer.

Your XP cap remover does not behave correctly. Is it even functional? Aren't you getting only "automatic" (non table driven) benefits when you level up all the time? Do, for example, your THAC0 or saving throws improve?
As far as the known spells of a sorceror are concerned, the corresponding control file is the splsrckn.2da file. The file states that the sorcerer should know

9 9 9 9 9 9 8 7 7

spells at level 40.

Note: I haven't played a sorceror. All information I am posting comes from the XP cap remover files (the teamBG bg2_lvl50.exe XP cap remover). It is possible that the remover fails to work for sorcerors for some reason. I don't know. Does anybody know?

The max lvl depends on the race of your character (see the readmes). Try with human race that "can advance to any level". My sorcerer is human. Many things depends on the race and class.

One of my party members was Aerie(mage/cleric). I can tell you that at the end of the game she knew all the 9 lvl spells, but I was not reached her 1st lvl 9 memorize slot. And in the same time Imoen(tief/mage) was able to memorize 3 or 4 lvl 9 spells. As you see i have no mods installed and I don't know the xp cap, but if you ever succeed make Arerie cleric lvl 28/ mage lvl 28 you can play solo with her on insane I assure you.
My sorcerer (lvl 28) lvl 9 spells are:
1.Inprinsonment
2.Summon planetar
3.Improved alacrity
4.Time Stop
5.Wish
6.Comet
7.Dragon breath
I can not remember more so these must be.

If a Sorcerer could learn 9 different spells per spell level, I can throw away my spell lists already. [img]tongue.gif[/img] As it is, that table should only apply to Mages. Sorcerers can only learn a maximum of 5 spells per spell level with an Unofficial ToB XP Cap Remover( the level 50 one).

In fact, you can find out their spell progression up to level 40 in the ToB Manual if you have ToB.
