1) gems...are there any use for rogue stones other than selling, if so, where can i find all of them, and if not, where can i find all of them (i happen to be a collector)

2) compared to the theif kits and the monk...most classes seem underpowered--theives can set traps all they want, and lure their enemies into them...easily taking out dragons. monks are just destructive...they can stun their opponents, massively heal themselves, and quivering palm gives them 3 or 4 attacks in which the opponent must save or die. Their fists eventually do 1-20 damage, and are considered +4 weapons, they have massively high magic resistance, and their armor class gets to be around -6 (this is WITH the XP cap). Their THAC0 goes into the negative.

Fighters dont have anything on them...they get grand mastery in a weapon, which is slower than the monk's fists, and even if they can find a +4 weapon, it's rare to get a thac0 under -2 or so without use of magic.

3) silver dragon...looking, no finding...the plot sort of submerged, you dont have to tell me where the dragon is, per say, only where i could find that information (point me down the right road)

4) what's up with that theif that pops out of the shadows and kills everyone with one hit when you kill the leader of the thieves guild (after you've paid them the money)

5) if you've decided to follow the evil path after you are taken to the fish people's lair (i.e. killing everyone) where do you go...plot disappears

6) The illithid nest in the sewers...that fits in with what plotline, you find the key in (umar or winspear...one of those 2) dungeons. Is it just a side-thing on its own to find a part of the Crom Fayer? if so...are there more clues within the umar hills dungeon...or must i look elsewere?

thx

1) gems - yes, Rogue Stones & other gems are useful other than just for wealth, particularly so once you hit ToB (so save 'em up & take a few with you, although carry at least one Rogue Stone around with you everywhere in SoA - you might not know where to use one unless you have it with you).

2) Thief/Monk power - most classes can be extremely powerful in the right hands. It all depends on what fits you playing style. I tend to prefer Arcane casters myself.

3) The Silver Dragon is in the Underdark - talk to all the Deep Gnomes you can & you'll get an idea where.

4) "that theif that pops out of the shadows and kills everyone with one hit when you kill the leader of the thieves guild" - you've broken the plot of the game, & likely can't finish, so the game squashes you, basically slapping you on the wrist & saying "Bad boy! Don't do that!"

5) The Sahuagin City - you need to find a rope amongst the dead bodies if you've slaughtered everyone (you can receive it as a reward if you follow the dialogue instead of killing everyone - you can always kill everyone afterwards). Once you find the rope (which should be in one of the first areas you think to look), go to the far southeast section of the city (you'll need to descend some stairs in the far northeast), then look for a hole in the ground under a little pavilion at the top of some stairs. Click on that & you'll use the rope to move on.

6) The Illithid nest in the Sewers - no, there's nothing much else to this. The note you find indicates that you've probably thwarted whatever plot they had in mind, although it is possible to run into The Hidden in another subquest (albeit a very minor one which sheds no additional light on their plot).
