F/T and Staff Profisencies

Is is worth spending a slot in Quartersaff Profi.for F/T becuase you get Staff of the Ram,so late in the game(if you play from SoA to ToB)...I usually use Celestial Fury.

You can also get the Staff of Striking quite early in the game (1d6+9 damage). Imagine what your backstabs will be like with that!

You can actually get the Staff of The Ram quite early anyway. Pretty much as soon as you can go through the first levels of WK and kill a dragon...

Yes, it is.
There are heaps of good Quarterstaves in the game (Rhyn, Striking, Fire, Magi, Power, Woodlands, etc). Many of the Staves have unique features which can prove to be very useful. After your Fighter/Thief will pick Use Any Item (he will, right? ), the potential grows even bigger.

Hmmm, I never found it THAT easy to get the Staff of the Ram at lower levels; besides, with the Staff of Striking, all his thief has to do is sell it to a crooked shopkeeper when the charges are getting low and then steal it back. All it should really cost is the use of some potions of master thievery. Just don't use the staff for anything but backstabs.
