What does this nifty ablity of Sarevok do, and when does it function?

5% chance that a melee hit will also inflict +200 damage.

Unsure whether it works with ranged hits though.

Anyway, the attack is sweet! but no I don't think it works in ranged attacks.

Two tiny nitpicks -
First, the chance is 3%,
And keep in mind that no matter what kind of weapon Sarevok is using - his DB Assault always does Piercing damage. [img]smile.gif[/img]

%3 ??? When i played through ToB, honestly, Sarevok did his business olmost %20 of the time... i have ni idea why he did that.
Maybe there was a bug or something but it was kool, becuase he kept on dealing high damage to my foes.

do other NPC's have it, and if not can they eventually aquire it, say through levels? (wish Minsc had it)

No, other NPC's can't aquire it.
The Deathbringer Assault is a Sarevok-only feature.

When you flip a coin repeatedly, does it land on heads exactly 50% of the time, and on tails exactly 50% of the time ??
Most likely it doesn`t, but that doesn`t change P(head) or P(tail).
Same situation here, it has a 3% chance of happening, but that doesn`t necesarily mean it will happen 3% of the time. [img]smile.gif[/img]
