Default Help with Burning DVD's

Right. So, I have the movie memento on my computer, as an .avi file. And I would absolutely love to put it on a DVD.

So I downloaded a converter, put it in Mpeg II format, and burned it. But everytime I do (burn it, that is) the lip syncing gets horribly off fairly early in the movie, and won't correct itself, even if you pause.

What could be the problem? Could it be the converter (Played on my computer, as .avi, there's no lip syncing problems at all)?

Any and all help is appreciated.

Hmmm, and I thought it was going to be as simple as a little lighter fluid and a match.

Hard to tell... how does it play on your machine as an MPEG?

Could be an issue with burn speed or the tool involved.

As MPEG DVD NTSC, I opened it via VLC player, and skipped around a bit. Syncing was fine. Same with the MPEG II convert I have.

Windows Media is tweaking out on me, so I couldn't test that...

I also have a version converted so it'd work on itunes- but maybe it's with the burning software? All I was using was Windows DVD Maker. Any good burning software I could download somewhere?
