Personally, I don't have any use for the powder or the scroll, as I always reload when someone dies. I don't like my characters dying on me. And I'm like that in any CRPG I play, not just Wiz8.

When I actually got to the point where the fight(s) were so long that I didn't want to bother reloading, I had the spell, so it didn't even matter.
So usually I just sell both and have done with it.

I just kept mine because sometimes the ressurection spell will fail. The powder or the scroll nevert seem to fail.

The main difference between the Powder and Scroll are 5 spell levels. The powder is only spell level 1 while the scroll is spell level 6.
Basically it translates to more health points restored with a scroll which comes in handy during more intense battles so the newly resurrected individual isn't killed again right away during the round they are brought back in.
