I cannot find Isha Na -or whatever the city is called -in order to bring the scroll to the mayor and finish the quest. If I check the map, there is no North-South-East-West key, so I have no idea where I am! Is there a better map, or way to navigate the game?

When using the built-in automap you should see a red arrow. That's your party and the point of the arrow shows your current direction. North is always to the top of your monitor, east to the right, etc.
Ishad N'ha is reached by talking to the Oracles in their cave while wearing the signet ring. After speaking the word "destiny" the western wall disappears and you can proceed along the river. And here's a map of the Eastern Woods. Xignal |

Again, if for some reason you still can't follow Xignal's map, start from the Gypsy Lake and take the Snake River (only river leading out from the lake) to the end. One fork may take you to Toad Village (which, by the way, is another quest, if you haven't received it yet), but the other will take you to a cave mouth behind a rather inconvenient dock. The oracles are in the cave, and they will open the gate beyond if you talk to them about destiny. Ishad N'ha is further along the river.
