I'm sure this has been discussed (many times?) before but I can't search the archives so here goes...

A Sorceror's primary stat is INT, right?

Besides the Lore bonus, what good is a high int score to him, though?

He doesn't learn spells traditionally, so the learning % is unimportant. Does INT affect his spell progression at all?

Would not WIS be much more important to a Sorceror since high WIS affects his saves vs spells and the Wish spell works better with high WIS?

Could anyone please enlighten me on this subject? Thanks ahead of time.

INT is only relevant for Mages and Bards, and for those who wish to Dual to Mages. Sorcers have no need for INT apart from these (perfectly valid) reasons:
1) Roleplay. "Duuuhhhhh.....I've got 3 INT and can barely say my own name, but I can cast all these high-level spells and crap."
2) Dialogue. If you've got moronic INT and WIS scores, many conversations in the game will treat you like a moron.
3) Protection scrolls. If you want to cast a green scroll (like Protection from Undead), you must have at least 9 INT.
4) Wands. The Wands have INT requirements too, even the Wand of the Heavens. I'm not sure if their reqs. are all the same, or different.

Just a minor edit on point 4. Wand of the Heavens is only usable by Priests( Clerics or Druids).

Or Monks.

I believe Monks can use any type of Wand--this is probably a bug, though. I'd consider it cheesy to have them use the Wizard Wands (except Magic Missle), but not the Wands that Priests can use (Heavens, Sleep, and I think Fear as well).

BTW, nice skullcap, Dundee.

It is a bug. Baldurdash fixes it.

Wishing I had a different avatar though. Preferably a Dragon.
