Sorry for making another thread, this one will stand out more.
I've downloaded the trial, made the changes and clicked Apply, then a "this is an Evaluation copy" comes up. If it's a trial why doesn't it let me change the sizes for the trial time? Why say "yes this is what it does, but you have to buy it to do it." Unless of course I'm doing something wrong, and that's why I need help. If anyone can talk me through it you'd be a godsend, either via forum or MSN. [ 06-08-2005, 05:45 PM: Message edited by: Ivelliis ]

LOL because there's no way it can reverse the changes afterwards, so if it didn't stop there, it'd be the full version, right? Sorry you're gonna have to buy it or something else...which we're not allowed to discuss

Or use free utilities like XFDisk or Partition Resizer.
If you insist on Partition Magic then the old DOS versions (PQMagic?) were completely free so you could hunt them down. A nice fdisk walkthrough here if you're not up to speed on the basics. Probably best to have some grounding before you fiddle, even if you're being guided by someone else. [ 06-08-2005, 08:35 PM: Message edited by: shamrock_uk ] |

I swear by NTFSresize myself, but if you dont have a Linux install available (you can download distros that run from a CD if you need one) or are afraid of command lines, best to skip it.
It is not safe though. Oh, it does the job properly, but it wont stop you from messing it up. So if you make a mistake, you are in trouble.
