Hi

Well ive already kind a asked this but im going to play a fighter(mayby a half-orc), to whom i will give the Crom Fayer. So my guestion is this:Because i want to give him a second weapon to his left hand,so what would be good with the Crom Fayer?I myself thought that some axe would be good, mayby the throwing axe which returns to your hand. But what do you think?Or should i give him just the Crom and then a shield?Give me your opinions...
Thanks

And should he be ogre?
Thanks again

To my knoweledge you cannot use a throwing weapon while you are equipped with a weapon in your off hand.

I personally like to dual weild the Crom Faeyr with the Flail of Ages +3, you can get that pretty early in the game, and it is a good weapon. Add to this that when playing ToB you can upgrade it. I would say Flail is a good choice. Off course there are lots and lots of good broadswords in the game too.

Hi Yanni,

celestial fury goes extremely well with crom faeyr since it has the power of a 2H sword+3 and can be used with 1 hand. I'd put crom faeyr in the off hand and use celestial F in the main hand, since Celestial Fury has better combat bonuses and it hits for more damage

Unfortunately, you cannot equip throwing axes in the off hand, nor can you dual wield them.

Hope this helps.

Here's an idea:

If you're going to be using Crom Faeyr with a fighter, think about dualing him/her to a cleric by Level 9. That way you can still use all proficiencies when you get your fighter skills back again and you can spellcast some VERY cool and needed spells. You'll need to have a 16 or better in Wisdom to do that, though.

Cheers,

Jim's idea is interesting. I've never tried it myself, but CF and CF ( ) should make a good combo.

But Axes are also goo dto have as a second weapon. There are alot to choose from during the game, plus that it is slashing-weapons, so you have both a slashing and a crushing weapon.
Then I would suggest the Axe of the Unyelding if you have ToB, or the Frostreaver if you only have SoA, both found early in the game.

As an half-orc fighter you will already have the highest THACO and hit points of the classes, so I would spend those proficiency points in dual wielding, there are also some very good maces and hammers in the game as well, not to mention some very fine long swords to consider.

I second the view that a Fighter->Cleric is a very strong character, especially with the Berserker kit. But, of course, pure Fighters or Barbarians can be awesome as well.

I would discourage giving both the Crom Faeyr and the Flail of the Ages to a Fighter--what's your Cleric supposed to use, the Skullcrusher+3? If your character is a Tank, DON'T Dual-wield, all Tanks need Shields to stay alive. If you already have an invincible Tank, by all means Dual-wield.

Just to avoid confusion, though...that "use any ability" is only if you have the Throne of Bhaal expansion installed.

Where do I find this Celestial Fury?
I remember someone mentioning that it is somewhere where you have to look specifically to find it or something.
