Exacly how much..

I am wondering, exacly how much is the US military talked about in other countries. And whats said about them? I am asking because I have seen quite a few segments on American TV about british troops and how they have supported us so much. And thats begs another question, why british troops? I am not bashing Brition, I am thankful we have such an allie, but, why not the Spannish? They are one of the few countrys supporting our actions? Or Bulgarian troops?

I don't think it's the militairy that's the issue here. It's the politicians that are being questioned here. And the Spanish Prime minister is catching a lot of flak over this. I don't know anything about the Bulgarian politicians, but ours are divided in two camps: Half would join the US forces, other half won't. That's the story of our life, always arguing, never come up with decisions.

I for one hope Holland joins the coalition, if it was only to show Chirac and Schroder that they don't own all of Europe. I would be ashamed of my country if they would watch this from the sideline.

Well, actaully I am not talking about politicans. I am talking stickly about how much is the US military talked about on other countrys media. I was actually going to post this in GenCon but I figured it would get moved here anyhow, even though its not really about the war.

Well, they talk about the US militairy with respect of course. Or maybe admiration is a better word. How can they not ? They have everything an army could wish for. Especially the US Navy is impressive. All that talk about what a threat North Korea is.... while all it takes to shut them up is one Carrier.

Edit: of course there are always people who don't like the militairy, no matter where they're from, but you can't go around the fact that they ARE really important. That's why i was happy to hear our airforce will be equipped with the JSF in a short period. That's a countries first line of defense, the airforce.
