I know that a chat room was in the cards, but I think that Ziroc has a bit more on his mind now-a-days that trying to set us up with the latest gadgits and gizmos...would be nice though

We will be upgrading to UBB v.6 in the next couple of weeks and that functionality will be there, as well as quite a few more - chat room, sticky posts, etc.
