It's an incredibly powerful Katana. You can find it within the guarded compound in the Temple District in Athkatla.

If you are in Chapter 2, this can be a difficult fight. Don't be afraid to use wands and potions, or try new combat tactics.

CELESTIAL FURY
  • Equipped abilities:
    Lightning Strike once per day
    Blindness once per day
    Combat abilities:
Booming Thunder when blade hit opponent
Shocking Blow chance when blade hit opponent
    Thac0: +3 bonus
    Damage: 1d10+3
    Damage Type: Slashing
    Speed Factor: 4
    Not usable by:
    Mage
    Cleric
    Druid

A very good sword, imo.
All you have to do to get it, is to slay a Demon, a Djinn, + other mystical creatures, some high-level Fighters, a couple of powerful Mages, and an Assassin.

see ya!

Not entirely correct. All you _have_ to do is kill one of them. Pick up the sword and then either run away or turn it on the others!

Yeah, but you battle the creatures downstairs, and the other upstairs, so if you decide to run straight against the upper floor, I think you'll be slayed yourself with that many foes attacking you...

Actually, if you haste your party, you can run right by the nasties downstairs. You could then lure some of the baddies down the stairs, and then the demon will attack them instead of you! (assuming you have Prot from Evil on yer group).

I did it solo, and ran right up the stairs. I killed the guy with the CF first, picked it up, and used it to wipe out the rest of the group. Great Fun!!

I´m at chapter 6(I guess) by now, my 16 lvl Kensai is pretty tough too, so I don´t think it will cause any problems...Thanks for the ifno though.

What is the upgrade for Celestial fury?

I was not aware there was one. I made one for myself. Now it is a +5 sword.
