Is it any good for a newbie at FPS? I'm thinking of getting it, but I haven't played any FPS yet. My only gaming experience has been in RTS and RPG. Also, is it important to start from the beginning of the series?

Well it si on no way a First person shooter, sure there are alot of momments when you go into a first person style view to shoot, but thats it.
This game rules, and it can be very challenging if you choose so. I would recommend this game to anyone, it wipes the floor with MGS (Even though its one of my favourite games) and is just really well made, great graphics, great controls and great story. I am yet to finish the second one (Pandora tommorrow) and the demo for number three looks awesome (Though I dont like the look of going invisible) So I say get it, its definantly worth it ![]() |

Splinter Cell is not a FPS game. If you want a FPS game try Medal of Honor, Call of Duty, Counter Strike etc etc.
Anyway, Splinter Cell can be counted as Rogue Game is it? Same as Metal Gear Solid. |

After reading reviews, I intend to get Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. I didn't like how the previous games were only stealth, and how you were screwed if you were discovered. Apparently the new game allows for either stealth or assualt approach to the missions, as well as multiple ways of beating the missions. It has been heralded as probably the best Xbox game of all time.
However, as stated, it is NOT an FPS. If you want a good FPS, there are MANY -- but the newest I would recommend is Brothers in Arms, wherein you control a squad leader and two squads of troops (in a fashion similar to, but easier than, that presented in Full Spectrum Warrior) during the first days of the Normandy Invasion of WWII. |

Okay, Rogue game, not FPS. Is it still worth getting? Should I start from the very beginning for the storyline purposes?
