At about ten o clock (english time) this morning i completed Baldurs gate 1 (for the first time). I then quickly installed baldurs gate 2 and throne of bhaal. I played on it for the rest of the morning and then had lunch.
I have recently come back on my computer to go on the internet and while waiting to connect i went on to the baldurs gate 2 character veiwer. I then thought i'd look at the charcter i just completed baldurs gate with. I looked through all the stuff it seemed normal, but then i went to the inventory. I looked through all the stuff i had and then got to the bottom of the list where i found this funny scroll entitled "The MDK2 spell". I have 2 questions of this. 1. has anybody else had this? and 2. What does it do? my guess is that it is the thing that gets rid of all your stuff, am i right? |

I think that spell either summons a cow or crashes your game. Maybe both. Try it and let everyone know.

That spell is supposed to summon one of the characters from the game MDK2, as an easter-egg. However, this was apparently never implemented properly, so all it really does is crash your game. How it wound up in your inventory is beyond me though.

It may have gotten into your inventory because some items have their index numbers changed from BG1 to BG2. And now, I'll translate what I just said: There's a simple trick to take your gear from BG1 and still have it from the very beginning of BG2 (even though you're supposed to have been stipped of all your items when you were captured by Irenicus). I tried it out, and some of the items got changed into other items: I think is was the Short Sword of Backstabbing that was turned into Jhor the Bleeder, or something like that. My guess is that the S.S.O.B is "SW1H23" in BG1, and the new sword is "SW1H23" in BG2. The same thing may have happened with yout MDK2 scroll.
